Initiation Fee $500
Can be paid in full or you can arrange to make payments with the Financial Secretary or Business Representative

When are my union dues due?
Your dues should be paid one month in advance.
Example: If you are paying for January dues you should pay them in December.

Am I billed or My Dues?
No you are not billed. It is your responsibilty to make sure your dues are paid on time, however as a courtesy you are sent a notice two (2) times in 1 year when you are going 2 months in the arrears.

Automatic Dues Deduction from the SMW Federal Credit Union. Your dues can be taken out of the Sheet Metal Credit Union automatically. You can call the SMW Credit Union (651-747-1500) to sign up and you must have a Savings Account. This does not come outof checking or Vacation Account unless you authorize it at the Credit Union. Employer can take dues from your check and deposit it into your account or they can pay the union hall directly. Must be in by the 15 th of each month. You have to be paid 1 month in advance.

SUSPENSION!!!!! 
Suspension is automatic if your dues are 2 months behind.

Reinstatement fees: 60 days to Reinstate
Commercial Journeyman : $300 + current month dues
Residential Journeyman: $150 + current month dues

Apprentice: $100 + current month dues

If you have gone past the 60 days, you will then have to Re-initiate for $500 unless stated otherwise by the Financial Secretary.
